Kantara Ku means “Bridges to..”, and is named for the ease with which urban visitors are transported from the hustle and bustle of the city into the relaxed and tranquil lifestyle of the rain forest. We are on over 60 acres of lush tropical jungle, nestled among the majestic Mayan mountains along the scenic Hummingbird Highway near mile 34. Belize is blessed with the medley of jungle, rainforest and mountains, and our property is perfectly situated to enjoy all of that, with some of the most well-preserved and accessible rainforests in the world. The Caribbean Sea is only a 50 minute drive east, and we are just down the road from tourist attractions like St Hermans’ Cave, the inland Blue Hole, and Five Blues Lake National Park to name a few. Considering Belize is only 68 miles wide, you can easily get to any attraction and back in a day. The two closest Maya ruins are the popular Cahal Pech and the much larger Xunantunich, both of which are about 1 hours drive away. This jungle estate will be an inspiration that will stimulate your imagination. Visited by vacationers seeking a rain forest retreat, we provide an authentic Belize experience with service to match. Enjoy meals prepared from the fresh produce and herbs from our gardens, and cabanas featuring decor handmade by local artisans. Kantara Ku is an unforgettable experience.
